Caboolture's Kids

Caboolture has a lot of problems with its youth.

(RSPCA Queensland spokesman Michael Beatty has commented on the case of a dead cat being strung up on a traffic sign.  Mr Beatty said “if children were responsible for the attacks, it raised serious concerns about their future."  He futher added, "Sadly, the links between acts of animal cruelty at an early age and other forms of violence towards humans down the track are well documented,")  RSPCA Comment on kids

Another attack on a security guard  - by the kids of Caboolture.

In Caboolture, there is not a lot for kids to do, and as a result they get into mischief – a little like a puppy really.  If a puppy doesn’t have toys to play with – it will find some regardless if it is a laptop or a shirt.  It will play with it and destroy it.  The same as puppies need toys and discipline – so do the kids of Caboolture.

South of Brisbane, there is Dream World, and Water World. These two companies alone hire a lot of people.  But it also gives the kids somewhere to go to enjoy themselves.   In Caboolture there is nothing.

There are large factories south of Brisbane that hire as well. In Caboolture, there are no large factories.

So, Caboolture has no entertainment for the kids,  and no factories to hire people.

What do the kids do?  They get into mischief – Destroying property, killing animals, assaulting people and doing burnouts etc.

Caboolture’s population is growing.  But there is not enough work here for all these people.  There are not enough essential services ie Fire, Ambulance, Police, Water, Electricity and Shops.

It is up to the government and the politicians to supply the essential services needed for an area.  Why haven’t they?

All this is leading and has led to the problems in Caboolture today.

I overheard a local real estate agent tell a prospective tenant – that a certain area of Caboolture was a bad area.  This area was previously a good area.  Does this mean that more of Caboolture is becoming ‘bad’?

Caboolture is getting worse.  More and more people are moving here.

Crime is on the increase.  A lot of crime does not get reported.  What is the point?  The police can’t help.  In my street, in the last few weeks we have had a murder on the street.  Is this going to become the norm?  Do the residents need to add even more security to their houses?  How much more can we add?  Do we need to walk with guard dogs when we go to the shops?

The people of Caboolture are crying out for help.  But no-one is listening.  Why?

“While police and business leaders say there is no major problem, many people who commented at quest news.com.au think some young people are running amok and parents do little to control them.” People speak
